First Aid Responder (FAR) is the PHECC standard for occupational first aiders in Ireland. It is the course most employers choose to meet the first-aid requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations.
The course is very hands-on: participants practise CPR on adult, child and infant manikins, use a training defibrillator and work through realistic scenarios until each step becomes second nature.

Yes. FAR is a PHECC standard and successful participants receive a PHECC-recognised certificate.
The First Aid Responder certificate is valid for two years. We recommend booking the refresher before it expires so your first-aid cover never lapses.
